Rehearsals: 1st and 3rd Sundays,
after worship, 11:30-12:30, Choir Room 212
The St. John’s bell choir goes back several decades, to the days when Dick Coulter was the music director. From the groups under his leadership emerged several other bell choirs, including internationally known Sonos. In the past decade, the group has been resurrected with some of the old members and some new ones. The Schulmerich bells themselves are reconditioned, with new pads and other equipment.
Bell choir rehearses during the academic year twice a month, usually on the first and third Sundays, after worship, 11:30-12:30. Both beginners and seasoned ringers are welcome to join.
Praise the Lord! Praise God in God’s sanctuary; praise God in God’s mighty heavens! Praise God, God’s mighty deeds; praise God according to God’s excellent greatness! Praise God with trumpet sound; praise God with lute and harp! Praise God with tambourine and dance; praise God with strings and pipe! Praise God with sounding cymbals; praise God with loud clashing cymbals!” Psalm 150:1-6
